Newborn photography holds a special place in my heart because this little tiny person will literally double in size in just a few short weeks. Everything changes in the blink of an eye. I know you want to remember the yawns, the teeny fingers and toes, so it’s best to schedule these when baby is two weeks old or less. And for all momma’s sacrificing, she deserves to be the other star of the show. Don’t worry, I have a client closet that you’ll get to choose from to flatter your postpartum body. I’ll guide you each step of the way, so you’ll have more time for resting and less time for stressing!
What to Expect
For Your Newborn Photo Session
First Things First
From the very first step to the last, it’s very important to me that your experience is an excellent one! I pride myself in taking care of my clients well–in prompt communication, during the booking process, at your photo session and for photo delivery. I want your experience with me to be easy for you and as thoughtful as possible!
Your Photo Session
Ideally you’ll want to schedule your photo session before the baby reaches 2 weeks old. Because I do mostly in-home sessions, it’s incredibly relaxed for you. I only need a quiet room with low light for a few posed photos of your baby and then we’ll spend the rest of the time in a bright space where the family gets in on the action!
What to Wear
You don’t even need to worry about what to wear. I have a client closet for all my postpartum and maternity clients! So all you have to do is pick what color, style looks best on you. I also send along a style guide so you’ll have guidance on how to dress the rest of the family too. And it doesn’t end there… I’m here for advice if you need a second opinion!
You Don’t Need to Be a Model
I’m going to help direct and prompt you every step of the way. You do not need to practice posing or anything! We will go over any areas of your body that you may feel insecure about and through wardrobe selection and posing, we’ll minimize the insecurities and accentuate what you love the most.
It’s Time to See Your Portraits!
One of my very favorite things is when I get to deliver your gallery! After two to three weeks you’ll receive a custom slideshow of all your images, an online gallery where you can download all of your photos and a credit towards any print item in the store.
